World’s Biggest Disc Golf Weekend: A Global Celebration to Share & Grow the Sport!
In 1991, John Houck (PDGA #1688) launched World’s Biggest Disc Golf Weekend (WBDGW) to bring disc golf to more people worldwide. The first event took place at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas — the first course John ever designed.
A firm believer in the power of disc golf to change lives for the better, John sees WBDGW as a meaningful way to introduce the sport to new players and create a lasting, positive impact. As a member of both the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame and the International Freestyle Frisbee Hall of Fame, he invites YOU to be part of the movement.
